Terrell “Terry” E. Aguado

Terrell “Terry” E. Aguado passed away Thursday, October 5, 2018 in St. Louis, MO. Born October 27, 1950 to the late Adrian Aguado and Olga (nee Moser) Aguado. He is survived by his wife Nancy (nee Polk) Aguado; his children Edward (Angela) Aguado, Steven (Gina) Aguado, and Ashley (Aaron) Carter; his step children Lauren Preston and Ryan Preston; grand children Dominic Aguado, Meredith Aguado, Steven Aguado, Jr., Melinda Aguado, Ashton Hulbert and Amaya Hulbert; dear brother of Adrienne (Roger) Collins, Trini (the late David) Hutson, Anita Aguado (the late Jack) Letter, Tomas A. Aguado, Margie (the late Steve) Aguado, Jr., and Arthur P. (Carol D.) Aguado; special uncle to Mark Aguado and Michelle Watkins. Loving uncle, cousin, and friend. “Terry” and his beloved twin brother “Art” started to work for their father (Adrian) in 1964 at 14 years of age. In 1971 Terry and Art became partners when the family business (Adrian Typography Inc.) was turned over to them by Adrian (Father) during a time when hot lead -Typesetting- was becoming obsolete.

In 1972 Terry and Art transitioned the Company from Hot lead Type, known as (Hot Type) to Photo Type, which was known as (Cold Type). The business thrived all the way through the late 90’s until Photo Type also became obsolete. From the late 90’s on, Terry worked from home as a Graphic Design Artist.Terry was an amazing man. He suffered for decades from and ultimately lost his battle to Alcoholism. He will be greatly missed by many, especially his children. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to Alcoholics Anonymous Eastern Area Office 14 Sunnen Drive, Ste. 144 St. Louis, MO 63143 in Terry’s memory.

VISITATION: Friday, October 12 ,2018 from 4-8 p.m. at Michel Funeral Home 5930 Southwest Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63139. Interment Private at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery at a later date.
